REUEL JOANIES JET JAE 2-22-23

Jae has grown very nicely and is a beautiful "dry" yearling. She shows great length of body and a graceful neck and she moves very well. She fooled me into thinking that she was pregnant and so got to come in for grain once a day for 6 weeks. She quickly learned to jump up on the stand and ate her ration of grain eagerly. She grew nicely and developed a very promising udder...She passed her due date by a week and then another week... Turns out that Jae wasn't pregnant at all but was precocious. Her udder continued to grow. She has never been milked and her udder feels pretty lumpy. I am hopeful that when she gets bred and her hormones start adjusting to the pregnancy, that her udder will soften and she will freshen normally.  I have had several does that were precocious but none that have progressed to this size. She is a lovely and balanced doe.

REUEL JUBILATTE'S DAV PASCA 4-9-23

Pasca is another doe that fooled me. She sure is as flashy spotted thing! She is very correct and well balanced so she had to stay, spots and all. The is one of those personality plus does who loves to make me laugh. She is easy to trim and tolerates management well. Pasca has benefited from being in with the milkers because she is not one to exercise restraint in the feed department and the big girls make her wait her turn in the feeder. She is so well put together that it is a joy to watch her move. So I have yet another spotted doe to keep in the herd.

REUEL JODI'S DAV JASEY 4-28-23

Jasey is a happy-go-lucky young goof ball. She has spent her summer growing and finding her place in the herd. She apparently has inherited some standing in the doe herd from her mother because she has pretty much allowed to do as she pleases even around the older does. She is respectful but not often intimidated. I am looking forward to seeing her as a milker. She looks a lot like a black roan version of her mother.

REUEL JUMBLE'S DAV SASSY 5-4-23

Sassy was a late born kid last year and a late addition to the "keeper pen". She is growing nicely. She is looking more and more like her granddam Jenga. Unfortunately Sassy's mom, Jumble's, ankles bent badly during the late stages of her pregnancy so she is happily working as a family milker. I have a sneaking suspicion that little Miss Sassy is going to be a great addition to the milking string. She is correct, strong and confident, easy to work with and fun to be around.

REUEL GWEN'S DAV GABRI 3/18/24

Gabri has been an experiment in inbreeding. Her dam was bred back to her sire in hopes of identifying any genetic problems. She has turned out to be a very pretty doe kid. I am looking forward to watching her as she matures. She is growing nicely and may be bred this December. Sometimes experiments turn out to be very special. We shall see.

Gabri is smooth and wide. She is personable and LOVES cookies and attention. She has good breed character and a great personality.

REUEL MAY DAY'S DAV SP'L ORDER 3/19/24

Special Order is indeed special or at least she thinks so. Her pen mates are not so sure. She has quickly realized that cookies are a yummy treat and that she can crowd the others out if she gets there first. She is growing nicely. She is deep bodied, tall and has a nice long neck. It will be nice to watch her as she grows.

REUEL NO FOOL'S DAV BRENNAN 3/24/24

Named after one of the geniuses on the TV series "Bones". She is quick, smart, and bold. She is long, smooth, and dairy. She is a nice blend of bold and co-operative. She learns quickly and is getting used to getting her feet trimmed and being handled. She seems to have all the best qualities of her dam and will be a good addition to any milk string.

REUEL JOLEE'S JET JECCA 4/12/24

Jecca was the last kid to join our Keeper pen. Her mom really matured into a beautiful 2 year old with an amazing udder. Jecca seemed to just unfold into a beautiful long and very correct kid. Jolee and Jecca both have a quiet confidence and beautiful presence and boldness that says "Look at me". Jecca moved with grace and style as a young kid. I can't wait to see her as she grows out of the awkward kid stage and into the promising yearling her breeding promises. Her long bone pattern, long neck, and proper leg set make her stand out in a crowd.

REUEL JESHAIAH'S DAV HOSHI 5/8/24

Hoshi is a bundle of kid energy. Although she is the youngest in the pen she is not in the least intimidated. She is spending her days initiating games of chase and follow the leader and her afternoons eating and her nights sleeping like a log. She is a bold and personable youngster who shows great promise.
